The purpose of Order of Omega:
Order of Omega is an honorary leadership society for individuals within the Greek system. The delta delta chapter here at UCSB is dedicated to scholarship, leadership, and community involvement. Each quarter a community service project is planned for order of omega members and past projects include beach clean-ups, school supply drives for local elementary schools, and socials with the elderly at friendship manner. Leadership among Order of Omega members is of utmost importance, and the incoming executive
board officers have extensive leadership experience within their own houses as well as on campus. This society also offers Greeks the chance to meet new people and develop new relationships with other Greek houses besides their own. At the end of every quarter, order of omega sponsors a dinner for all members as a way to allow socialization and relationship development among all its' members. Order of Omega is a great organization for those Greeks who are passionate about the Greek system and serving the local community.
Eligibility:
- The qualifications for membership in the Order shall be character, scholarship, intelligence, service, and leadership in the inter-Greek affairs of their institutions.
- Exemplary character shall be the primary consideration for membership to this order.
- To be eligible for membership in The Order of Omega, a student shall meet the following minimum requirements:
- One full academic year of residence in the institution where elected.
- Junior or Senior standing
- At least a 3.2 GPA
