Inter-Greek Council

The Inter-Greek Council (IGC) is the governing body for all general Greek-lettered chapters. The Council is advised by the Director and Assistant Director of Greek Life. The group is comprised of Greek Life Interns, Presidents from each of the four councils, and the President of Order of Omega.

IGC exists to support Greek chapters as integral parts of an enriching experience for undergraduates at UCSB. Further, the council upholds high standards for its chapters and their members through the Greek Conduct Board and on-going educational opportunities discussing alcohol and substance use, sexual assault, diversity, hazing, mental health, general nutrition and overall health, as well as leadership, professional and career training.

The council meets once a month to discuss matters pertaining to the Greek system including Greek Week, alcohol and substance abuse, health issues, council-wide programming, Scholarship Banquet, Greek Awards, new programs, etc. Please call (805) 893-8463 for more information.
