Joining a sorority or fraternity at UCSB is a great way to open doors to countless opportunities and activities. When you become involved, you will enhance your educational experience by emphasizing intellectual, interpersonal, cultural, and social development. No matter what type of college experience you are looking for, you are sure to find it in the UCSB Greek community.
The UCSB Greek community is made up of four Councils (click on the link to learn more):
CPC: National Women's Sororities
IFC: National Men’s Fraternities
UFSC: Interest & Culturally-based Fraternities and Sororities
NPHC: Historically Black & African-American Fraternities and Sororities
Fraternity and Sorority Life is a very important part of UCSB student culture, with 11% of undergraduates (approximately 2,200 students) belonging to Greek-lettered organizations. The Greek system provides its members with essential skills and opportunities beyond those of the classroom. Each organization provides support and academic guidance for their members, as well as opportunities for leadership, community service, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
