Dear President, Chapter Members, and Advisors:
It is that time of year again for the Greek Awards application process and ceremony
information. This year’s ceremony and banquet will be held at Hotel Mar Monte, Thursday,
May 29th, 2008 at 6:00p.m.
The Greek Awards Banquet is your chapter’s opportunity to gain recognition for all
your accomplishments and hard work over the year. Be sure to save the date and note
all requirements and deadlines to obtain the recognition your chapter deserves.
Award applications need to be in separate binders per award category. Awards not
submitted in this fashion will not be accepted. Also when answering the questions
please write as succinct and direct as possible. This is not an essay contest. Each
award is graded on the specific criteria outlined in each application. You can find

Awards applications need to be turned into the Office of Student Life, Greek Affairs
by Friday, April 4th by 5:00pm.
Please submit photos of chapter events via email to: sofia_rexach@umail.ucsb.edu
by Friday, April 4th at 5:00pm. These pictures will be used for our annual Greek
Awards slideshow presentation.
Each chapter can bring up to six members/advisors. The cost for the banquet per
person is $35.00. Payment of these six members must be received in the Office of
Greek Affairs no later than Friday, May 9th at 5:00p.m. (no exceptions). Make checks
payable to: Inter-Greek Council (IGC).
Chapters needing additional seating may submit a separate payment for up to four
additional members beginning Friday, May 16th at 10:00 a.m. (please note additional
seating will be given to those organizations who submit payments first).
In order for a chapter or individual to attend the banquet or be nominated for an
award in any category, chapters must be financially current with dues to their respective
council.
