Hello. I am Michael Young, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at UCSB. Welcome
to the Student Affairs web site. Within these links you will find information
for prospective students as well as for current students, faculty, and staff.
Student Affairs encompasses an array of student services and support
programs--more than 20 departments including everything from Admissions and
Financial Aid to Student Health Service, Counseling and Career Services, and the
MultiCultural Center. Whether you are a new or continuing student, this is the
place to find the many campus services available to you and to learn about
UCSB's student publications, student government, recreational opportunities,
internships, campus organizations, etc. UCSB is a dynamic and vibrant campus
community committed to diversity and, of course, to academic excellence. Student
Affairs personnel support these goals and strive to adapt our services to a
changing academic environment and student body. I hope you enjoy your electronic
