General Counseling

Our office provides general counseling to all students seeking support pertaining to being undocumented, having undocumented family members or loved ones, and other relevant issues.
Our office is located in the EOP Suite, on the second floor of the Student Resource Building (SRB). We take walk-in appointments between 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM, Mondays to Fridays, however it is best to schedule appointments. To make an appointment, contact us at:

USS coordinates events throughout the year to provide information and resources and to build community among undocumented students and the wider campus. Past events include financial literacy series, professional development retreat, know your rights sessions, Dream Scholar Faculty Mentor socials, immigration awareness week, and more. We gladly collaborate with other departments to organize events. If you would like to coordinate an event with us, or if you have other questions, contact us at ucsbundocstudentservices@sa.ucsb.edu.

Monarch Lounge

The Monarch Lounge is the undocumented student resource center on campus. The space is open to students and organizations for study purposes, events, meetings, etc. To book a space, contact us at ucsbundocstudentservices@sa.ucsb.edu.

The USS coordinator and USS interns will have office hours in the Monarch Lounge and will be available to answer general questions to inquiring students, faculty, and staff.

Dream Lending Library

We recognize that many of our students face financial issues as a college student. To help alleviate some of the burden on students, USS, with the help of wonderful faculty, created the Dream Lending Library, from which undocumented students can borrow books they need for a quarter free of charge.

Our library is still developing, so we are gladly taking donations for textbooks. If you would like to donate, contact us at ucsbundocstudentservices@sa.ucsb.edu.

If you are a student and would like to borrow a book, contact our intern, Alondra.

A list of available books can be found here.

Legal Services

Through the UC Undocumented Legal Services Center, UCSB students can receive free immigration-related legal services.
