Transfer/Re-Entry

EOP Services For Transfer, Re-Entry Students & Undergraduate Parents

EOP mentors students who are beyond their freshman year, assisting new transfer, undergraduate parents, and re-entry students in their transition to the university and helping students develop an academic plan appropriate for each class level. We have a deep understanding of the excitement and anxieties that come with the transition to the university and believe in providing a strong support network to help you accomplish your goals. EOP will provide you the individualized attention and freedom to shape your own future.

In attending a residential research university, you are challenged with endless opportunities to engage yourself in extracurricular and academic environments. We provide a multitude of services that allow you to be a part of smaller learning communities that complement a large university atmosphere. Counselors and peers assist students in preparing for their post-graduate goals, including preparation for entering the job market or graduate and professional schools. EOP Counselors are available to mentor students as well as offer academic and career advising, referrals, and information about support services available on campus and in the community. For more information, contact Stephen Jones at (805) 893-4758; or email: EOP@sa.ucsb.edu.

Assist! Transferable Courses

ASSIST is a computerizes student-transfer system that reports how credits earned at one California college or university can be applied when transferred to another. ASSIST can help you determine if you will receive credit for courses you've already taken, and how those courses will apply to specific academic goals.
