How do I apply for EOP?
When you apply to the University, be sure to check box #122 regarding applying to
the Educational Opportunity Program and complete the family information section,
items #21 through #32. The information you include in your personal statement can
also assist in determining your placement into EOP. Follow instructions on page
15 & 16 of the UC Application for your personal statement. Whether you choose topic
A, B, or C, we would like to know more about your academic interests, life experiences,
family influence on educational values, and/or educational and career goals. Be
sure to mention if you are the first in your family to pursue higher education,
if your parents received educational degrees outside the U.S., or if you speak a
language other than English in your home.
