American Indian Student Organizations
Student Organizations:
Want to become more active in the American Indian community?
Looking to meet new people or perhaps plan an event you want to see happen on campus? We are always looking for new students to join us and offer up new ideas and perspectives. Check out what we have to offer below. American Indian Student Association (AISA)AISA was founded in the early 1970s to promote cultural awareness to the University’s general population and to provide a cultural connection and sense of community for UCSB’s American Indian students. These goals are accomplished through weekly meetings, monthly socials, and cultural/social get-togethers throughout the year. Meetings are informal and mostly serve as a time for us to get together, connect and plan events. Meetings are held on Tuesday at 6:00 in the AICRC, SRB room 1219. Everyone is welcome!Chair: Courtney Cole Email: Courtneycole@umail.ucsb.edu Advisor: Judy Zachary (805)893-3235 Email: Judy.Zachary@sa.ucsb.edu American Indian Graduate Student Alliance (AIGSA)To promote the interest of American Indian Graduate Students while maintaining scholarly, social and personal commitments toward our educational advancement.
