Today's diverse living, learning and working environments offer unique opportunities for interaction, incorporating the best ideas of all individuals. Racism, sexism, homophobia and other forms of oppression take a toll on all - personally and professionally - and detract from a dynamic, positive atmosphere. The absence of diversity prepares us for an unrealistic world and hurts all of us. Learning about the diversity around us leads to the creation of a positive community for us all.
EPCA is a network of departments and services on campus which assist in building a campus community that is committed to exploring and discussing issues and perspectives related to cultural diversity. Cultural diversity includes but is not limited to racial classification, age, sexual identity, gender, religion, disabilities, sexual orientation, ethnicity, immigrant status and socioeconomic class.
