• Advising and assisting international students with their nonimmigrant visa status and a variety of immigration issues.
• Advising and assisting international students and scholars with their needs and concerns of a general nature.
• Advising and assisting academic departments, research scholars and foreign faculty with immigration matters.
• Initiation of international programs.

• Participation in the International Friendship Program. The basis of the program is to provide a way for international students and scholars to meet and become friends with a family in the local community. Thus, the new student is able to reach beyond the student or campus community and become exposed to a different and broader life-style.
• Participation in the Orientation Program for new international students. The program consists of lectures, meetings and social events designed to inform new students with academic, cultural, social and adjustment issues.
• Serve as a faculty advisor to any of the international student organizations.
