As a career counselor, I try to keep up on trends that affect our students. The LOC trip was spectacular. Incredible sights, excellent guides, superior accommodations. It’s an uncommon opportunity to travel to a place that clearly figures in a major way in the future of the world and to gain insight into the Chinese educational system. I’d love to see every UC student have the chance to take this trip. Overall, a simply marvelous experience.
It was an amazing trip, especially the visit to see the Terracotta Soldiers. Overall, I was amazed at how distinct each part of China really is. The people in the small towns were warm and friendly and the big cities of Shanghai and Beijing offered their own special charm with the crowds, new buildings and lots of shopping! Taking the bus and getting to know other University of California folk was great fun too. This was a trip I’ll always remember.

My trip to China will forever remain one of the most exciting trips I have ever taken. From climbing the Great Wall, walking in the Forbidden City, and visiting the Summer Palace, it is a fantastic experience for anyone who wants to see China at its grandest. This is a wonderful experience to educate oneself about the culture of China while also enjoying Beijing in your free time. I highly recommend this trip!
