8. African Diasporic CRC
Purpose: The primary objective of the African diasporic Cultural Resource Center (AdCRC) is to support the communities of the African diaspora at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Purpose: We are a community service organization with the purpose to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, and to be supreme in service to all mankind.

18. Alpha Kappa Delta Phi
Purpose: alpha Kappa Delta Phi is the first and only Nationwide Asian American Interest sorority. With 44 chapters across the nation, we continue to be the fastest growing and most sought after Asian American interest sorority. UC Santa Barbara was granted its charter on June 2, 2001 by its National Board becoming the 31st chapter of aKDPhi and was officially recognized by the university and the Local Regional Fraternity and Sorority Council on October 9, 2002. Our purpose is to promote sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and Asian awareness in the university and community, while encouraging the expression of the individual.

45. Bailadores for the Brain and Body
Purpose: For UCSB students to teach different forms of cultural dance to the students of Isla Vista Elementary School as a part of the IV After School Program in order to expose students to different cultures and to promote physical activity as part of a balanced lifestyle. Students will learn not only about the culture, proper dance technique, poise, timing, coordination, and gain stamina, but will also gain important leadership and performance skills, learn teamwork, and presence as a dancer. In addition, Bailadores for the Brain and Body conducts outreach programs to motivate students to live up to their potential and aspire for a college education. The organization's name, "Bailadores for the Brain and Body" is appropriate because of its holistic approach. Physical activity is beneficial to the body and to the mental state. In addition, physical activity promotes blood circulation (to the brain) and studies show that those who engage in physical activity tend to perform better in school. Also, the club emphasizes learning through cultural awareness and the Outreach aspect works to motivate the pursuit of a higher education.

Purpose: The UCSB Ecological Coalition (a.k.a. the “E-Coalition”), is a network for campus-based environmental, ecological, and sustainability-oriented groups. There is a huge array of environmentally-minded UCSB organizations (as you probably already know). And although each one is very different in its size and scope, in one way or another, all of the clubs seek to make our campus, our community, and in turn our planet, a healthier and happier place to live. The Ujima Peer Mentorship Program focuses on students of the African Diaspora at UC Santa Barbara. This wonderful program serves a positive and uplifting connection between the new and veteran students at UCSB, creating a bond that strengths us as a community. Ujima’s purpose is to assist with the academic, social, cultural, and spiritual transition of our new students. Our goal is to not only retain all of our incoming students, but to have them learn, develop, and successfully graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara!

366. United Coalition Fellowship of Christian Ministries (U.C.F.C.M)
Purpose: U.C.F.C.M. is a charismatic non- denominational Fellowship of Christian Ministries. Its purpose is to serve as the connecting umbrella ministry to, reconcile, unify, and create a coalition of Christian ministries on University campuses. In a divided community of Christians, God's kingdom will not stand as strong as it should be (Math 12:25). Its time to unite, and learn all of the different techniques our ministries have cultivated from the Word of God and use them to teach all nations (Math. 28:19) , to spread the gospel to the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8), and to reconcile (2 Cor. 5:18-19). We are all one body, let’s celebrate our differences and use them as tools for our common purpose as Christians which is to: Bear Christian fruit (John 15:8) Take the light we are given around the world so that others may see Christ and receive Him for themselves. (Math. 5-14- 16) We are one body with many parts; the body cannot function properly unless all parts function in unity. (1Cor. 12:12- 24)

377. Wom of ColorRevolutionaryDialogues WORD(Vagina Dialogues)
Purpose: Women Of color Revolutionary Dialogues (WORD) represents young passionate womyn of color coming together, in a defined space, to collaborate and create self- expressive work about the issues that concern us today. We as womyn of color and allies are trying to offer an alternative to the Vagina Monologues, which we feel is a problematic production in its Erucentric ideas. WORD differs by being more INclusive and respectful of everyone's own unique experience. We offer a safe space for a collective of womyn to share their experiences through an art that allows us to see the similarities which unites us in solidarity, but also the uniqueness of each community that we must acknowledge and understand. This space allows womyn to move from the confined silence of private journals and diaries, and rise to speak with their body and voice, through various mediums of performance. It is for womyn, especially womyn of color, who have felt misrepresented, under-represented, or silenced, and want to claim their own bodies and voice back.

389. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
Purpose: The Delta Rho Chapter was charted May 22, 1999 at the University of California, Santa Barbara by 11 illustrious women who chose to establish high scholastic achievement, student involvement, and community development. The ladies of the Delta Rho Chapter participate in Red Cross Bone Marrow Drives, Breast Cancer Awareness, Toy Drives for underprivileged youth, Thanksgiving Dinner giveaways, Adopt-a-Family for Christmas, March of Dimes and various other community service oriented programs. In addition the chapter hosts various events such as Free Style Fridays, Basketball Tournaments, Auctions, and cultural events to raise awareness and funds for the local Battered Women's shelter, on- campus educational programs in need of funding, and other charitable organizations following the tenets of scholarship, service, sisterly love, and finer womanhood. Delta Rho works diligently to uplift, inspire, and educate youth, seniors, men and women of the Santa Barbara and surrounding communities.
