Orientation Staff Selection Calendar
The selection process for Orientation Staff begins with the submission of a written application,
two letters of recommendation, and a copy of your Grades/Academic History from GOLD
no later than Noon on Wednesday, January 30, 2008.
All applicants planning to continue through the selection process must
be available for interviews or meetings on the following dates and times:

Orientation Staff is a part-time job (10-15 hours per week) in spring, and
a full-time job averaging 40+ hours per week in summer. The summer work
week is Monday through Friday, with Wednesdays requiring only a 2-4-hour staff meeting. We ask that Orientation be your
primary commitment other than classes in the spring, and your primary commitment in the summer.
Summer school is not allowed during Session A, but might be allowed for Session B on a limited basis
with our permission. If summer school is a concern for you, please talk to us about it in advance.
Important: Spring Quarter staff training takes place every Monday and
Wednesday afternoon, 3:00-5:00pm and is mandatory. If you expect to be a staff member,
do not register for classes or make other commitments during this time. The
retreats planned for Spring Quarter are mandatory as well. Please check your
calendar for conflicts before applying for a position with Orientation
Staff.
Please note: The June-July-August work schedule is demanding
and does not conform to the routine 8-5 workday. We require that you place the
Orientation position as your first priority during summer and plan other activities
around it.
