Freshman Summer Start Program Orientation
Students enrolled in the Freshman Summer Start Program (FSSP) will arrive on Thursday,
July 30 for move-in to the residence hall. They will then attend their Orientation
session on Friday-Saturday, July 31-August 1, 2009 which is designed specifically for
FSSP students and their parents. During this integral part of the Freshman Summer
Start Program, students will prepare for the Summer term, receive extensive academic
advising for both Summer and Fall terms, and register for Fall 2009 courses. FSSP
students (and their parents if they wish to attend) must register for the
July 31-August 1, 2009 Orientation session by using the online Orientation
reservation system.
Please note: Students enrolled in FSSP will be charged for their Summer Orientation
session as a separate program fee from the FSSP tuition. Also, Summer Orientation
program fees for the July 31-August 1 FSSP session are different from those designated
for other sessions. See below for a description.
FSSP Orientation Fees for Students
Program With Accommodations - $276 per person
Students must choose the Program With Accommodations when reserving their space
in the FSSP Orientation. Move-in to the residence hall will be on Thursday, July
30. The program fee for the FSSP Orientation includes the first 2 nights in the
residence hall, 6 meals in the dining commons, and the Orientation program.
FSSP Orientation Fees for Parents
Parents who want to attend the FSSP Orientation may choose either the Program With
Accommodations or Program Only when reserving their space.
Program With Accommodations - $276 per person - includes 2 overnights
on campus (Thursday and Friday), 6 meals in the dining commons, and the Parent Orientation
program.
Program Only - $179 per person - includes the Parent Orientation
program and 4 meals in the dining commons beginning with lunch on Friday. This option
is for those who arrange their own overnight accommodations. Local accommodations are listed on this website.
