Visit the REEF!! The REEF (Research Experience & Education Facility) is UCSB's interactive aquarium facility (touch tanks). Learn about our local marine environment and the plants and animals found in our waters. The REEF is staffed with undergraduates majoring in Biology and Environmental Studies who have experience working in labs.

A self-defense workshop can be an important tool for personal development as well as an educational and energizing group activity. Our workshops are designed to be accessible for all ages and abilities and include information on the realities of violence in our community, particularly violence against women.

Join Orientation Programs for the first ever SRB Scavenger Hunt. Several teams of students will make their way around the Student Resource Building (SRB) finding clues and discovering what the SRB has to offer. Just because you are now in college doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun! Prizes! Free Food!

Get a feel for where your classes will be, the best places to eat lunch, study, and hang out, and interact with engineering students. The Adventure Climbing Center staff will offer FREE belays and harness rentals during the Fun & Fitness Festival to all first year (freshmen and transfer students) and first timers! Anyone wanting to climb the high wall up to 30 feet can take advantage of this 2-hour drop-in period. Show your Access Card, sign a waiver and climb as much as you want under the supervision of qualified Adventure Climbing Center staff.
