Local Accommodations


To make the Orientation experience more complete, we recommend that students stay on campus during Summer Orientation. However, space in campus accommodations is limited. This list is provided for those who make their own overnight arrangements due to preference or because campus accommodations have filled.

These accommodations are listed for your convenience because they are close to campus or are in the Santa Barbara area. Inquire about possible discounts for guests affiliated with UCSB. Some hotels also have an airport shuttle available.

We encourage you to make your reservations as early as possible, especially if you will be visiting Santa Barbara during Old Spanish Days Fiesta (July 30 - August 3, 2008). However, please do not make firm plans until you receive your assigned session date.
