Sorority Recruitment Fall 2011

REGISTRATION IS ON-LINE....
Registration is OPEN JULY 1, 2011

It's easy...

  1. Fill out the application online or visit the UCSB Panhellenic Website for more information.

2.  Use paypal or write a check 
      (made payable to: Panhellenic)
      and send it to UCSB panhellenic at
      the address below.

3.  Registration takes about 15 minutes 
     and costs $50 dollars. This fee is 
     non-refundable.

4.  A confirmation email will be sent to verify all completed applications and payment.

5.  You do NOT need letters of recommendation, they are not required, but if you have any from 
    sorority alumnae or members, please have them sent to:

Monday September 19

10 am Orientation at Corwin Pavilion
Meet the Panhellenic Executive Board and learn the rules and ways of recruitment! There will be a very entertaining film that will explain the events for the week, and also the amazing Recruitment Counselors will be putting on a traditional and exciting show. This is also a mandatory event. If for any reason, you cannot make this orientation please call the Greek Affairs Office at (805) 893-8463.

Last chance to register for Recruitment:

11am-1pm BBQ  Student Resource Building, BBQ Grill Area
(Panhellenic recommends registering prior to orientation, so you don't have to stand in line to register) 

Unity Day 1
6:30 Meet your Recruitment Counselors at Embarcadero Hall (across from Woodstock's Pizza on Embarcadero Del Norte) and get excited! Everyone will receive an informational brochure for the week with financial information, pictures, and details for each chapter. There will also be Recruitment Counselor assignments, information about each house and also many helpful reminders. Women will be broken off into groups of 10-20 per counselor and she will serve as your mentor throughout the recruitment process.

 

Tuesday September 20:

Unity Day 2
This day will be the second part to Unity day. Between day 1 and day 2, all potential new members will be visiting all 10 of our amazing Panhellenic chapters. Before the day begins, there will be an opportunity to meet with Recruitment Counselors for lunch.

Wednesday September 21:

House Tours
On house tours day you will be going on tours of the chapter houses! UCSB has 10 beautiful panhellenic sorority houses that would be any college students dream to live in. During the house tour you will have the opportunity to meet more active members and ask any questions you may have.

Thursday September 22:

Pillar Night
First day of classes! As each day progresses, the numbers of the houses attending will be narrowed down. This recruitment even is held at night and each chapter will explain the four pillars:  Standards, Scholarship, Sisterhood and Service. This event will be very entertaining and will be scheduled at night to accomodate for classes.

Friday September 23:

Preference Night
This recruitment event is held at night and is more formal than previous days. Preference night is the last night of mutual selection, and will give a preview of rituals that each chapter holds dear to their sorority experience. This night is very special, and there will be a maximum of two houses to visit this night.

Saturday September 24:

12:00 Bid Day at HSSB
On this day you will receive a bid from a chapter asking you to become a member of their organization. After you receive this bid, you and the other new members of that sorority will meet up with the active sorority members and go to a designated location within or outside of Santa Barbara to bond with your new sorority!
