Annual Student Leader Retreat

This fall, Leadership Education (OSL), in conjunction with Associated Students and the African diasporic Cultural Resource Center (EOP), will host the 3-day, instensive 7th Annual Student Leader Retreat, where over 100 student leaders will have the opportunity to:
- Learn important information necessary for successful leadership
- Network with other student leaders and organizations
- Develop and practice leaderships skills with hands-on activities
- Have a great time at a beautiful mountain retreat site
Each currently registered student organization or campus department can nominate one (1) person to participate in this retreat and a total of 40 will be randomly selected from the nominees. The person attending must be enrolled at UCSB for the 2008-09 academic year. Those chosen will join leaders from Associated Students and the African diasporic Cultural Resource Centers at this incredible retreat.
The cost is $45/person and includes 6 meals, overnight accommodations, and extensive materials. We leave UCSB 5pm on Friday and return 7pm on Sunday. This is what last year’s participants had to say.
*Please make sure that a person from your organization is interested in participating and available for the dates of the Retreat (it’s the weekend after the first day of classes on Sept. 25th). Any organization that is a “no show” will be billed the full cost of $150.
To submit your organization or department for selection, please stop by the Office of Student Life (2260 SRB) and submit a complete application (includes a form of payment, which will be processed only if the organization is selected) the following by Friday, May 30.
