The purpose of the Office of Student Life is to offer ongoing assistance for student initiatives, encourage involvement in campus life, and serve as a primary liaison to students. The staff also serve as primary contact for parents to the institution. A central concern of the Office of Student Life is the intellectual and personal development of students. We promote a set of community standards that affirms the right of freedom of expression within our community and also affirms the campus commitment to the highest standards of civility and decency towards all. A high priority is the promotion of integrity, prevention of academic dishonesty and the enforcement of general campus regulations. We work to foster positive interaction among UCSB students, campus organizations, and the University and local community. |
