Career Services provides students with many job search preparation services, including interviewing skills, networking, and resume and cover letter assistance. Students can also visit the Career Resource Library to take a career assessment test which will help them identify their interests and match them to possible majors and potential career paths. Employers often come to campus to conduct interviews in an environment that is convenient and comfortable for students.

COUNSELING SERVICES

Licensed psychologists and stress peer advisors provide students with one-to-one personal and confidential support at Counseling Services. Additionally, group sessions on different topics are frequently offered and students can relax for awhile in the "Egg Chair," which has become a student-celebrated part of campus.

DISABLED STUDENTS PROGRAM (DSP)

Students are responsible for making DSP aware of their disabilities and for providing appropriate documentation. Services provided by DSP are all free of charge.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM (EOP)

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) encourages student involvement on campus and a sense of community and empowerment among students. The program provides academic support services, social programming, cultural centers, and staff mentoring to students at UCSB through graduation. The majority of participants are first generation and/or low-income students; however, EOP is open to all UCSB students.

HONORS PROGRAM

The College of Letters & Science and the College of Engineering both offer an honors program. Honors Program students experience a smaller community atmosphere within the larger university setting. There are many benefits to students participating in the honors programs, including increased contact with faculty, graduate library privileges, and priority enrollment.

REGISTRAR'S OFFICE

The Registrar's Office maintains students' academic and enrollment records. Additionally, GOLD (Gaucho Online Data) is housed in the Registrar's Office. GOLD, UCSB's Web system, is used by students to register for classes, view schedules, check grades, receive messages from administration, and order transcripts. If students need assistance with academic and enrollment record issues or the GOLD Web system, they should contact the Registrar's Office.
