Clery Act



The UCSB Police Department has published the 2016 UCSB Annual Security Report and the 2016 UCSB Annual Fire Safety Report, which are available at:

The Security Report, coordinated by the UCSB Police Department, includes information about crime prevention and reporting; emergency response and evacuation; emergency notifications; timely warnings; alcohol, drug and weapon policies; sexual violence prevention; and other topics.  This report also includes statistics for years 2013, 2014 and 2015 for crimes that occurred at the UCSB campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from campus.

The Fire Safety Report, coordinated by Environmental Health & Safety, includes information on fire safety policies and fire safety systems as well as statistics for years 2013, 2014 and 2015 for fires that occurred in UCSB on-campus student housing facilities.  A hard copy document can be provided upon request by calling the Campus Fire Marshal at (805) 893-3785.

Paper copies of these reports are available upon request by calling the UCSB Police Department at (805) 893-3886or at Public Safety building #574 on campus.

The campus police department wants to remind the community of our campus safety and the obligation to notify the UC Santa Barbara Police Department of any situation or incident that involves a significant emergency or dangerous situation that may involve the immediate or on-going threat to the health and safety of students and/or employees on campus.

This notice of availability is distributed annually in accordance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (“Clery Act”).
