Campus Learning Assistance Services
Campus Learning Assistance Services (CLAS) helps students increase their mastery of course material through course-specific tutoring and academic skills development. Student tutors hold tutorial groups, academic skills workshops and/or work in-drop in labs in Math, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Writing, Foreign Languages and Study Skills. Over 7,000 undergraduates use CLAS services each year.

    Job Description: Stress Management Peer Advisors work in the Stress Management Program Office (SMPO) of Counseling Services. They provide students with support, basic stress management techniques and peer advising on stress related issues and concerns. These tapes are used in one of our relaxation rooms wich contain either a Shiatzu Massage Lounger or an Alpha-Wave Chamber which is commonly called the "Egg-Chair."

    Job Description: Resident Assistants (RA) play a vital role in shaping and influencing a first year's students experience while also facilitating a student's transition into community. STEP RA's are responsible for planning and organizing various student centered activites, events and programs during the two weeks of STEP. Orientation Programs at UC Santa Barbara serves the needs of incoming freshmen and transfer students, and their parents and family members through Orientation Sessions in Summer, Fall and Winter.
