Alumni Reunion

The Upward Bound program at UC Santa Barbara will be hosting our first annual Alumni Celebration from June 23^rd - 25^th, 2006.

You are alumni of the Upward Bound family tree and although we have branched out in many directions we would like to acknowledge our roots. Our Upward Bound program began in 1968 and while the faces of our students have changed, the heart of our program has remained the same. As alumni of the UCSB Upward Bound Program you have made an important contribution to our legacy of striving for academic excellence.

We hope that you will be able to attend our alumni weekend events so that our current students can benefit from your experience. Whether you’ve graduated from a university, joined the military, begun employment or are still pursuing your academic goals you are an example of where our students are headed. It’s also a fun way to reconnect with some old friends.  
Please bring old photos of you and your Upward Bound pals to share your memories.

The weekend kicks off on Friday June 23^rd with a Bowling party at Zodo’s. Saturday, June 24^th is the alumni beach BBQ at Goleta Beach. On Saturday night we will host a dance at Tropicana Gardens. On Sunday June 25^th, we attend the Solvang PCPA theater production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
