The students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply: Incoming 9th or 10th grade students. We serve the following schools: Carpinteria High School San Marcos High School Dos Pueblos High School Santa Barbara High School Lompoc High School Santa Maria High School *Must be either or both: Low-income according to federal guidelines: A potential first generation college student (neither parent has completed a four year college degree). *(2/3 of participants must meet both criteria and 1/3 can be either low income or first generation.) Must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident. Must have a desire to participate in all activities and have a willingness to work hard.
