Make a Difference – Register and Vote!
The business of the University is the education of citizens – the life training of our nation’s next generation of leaders. As part of enhancing citizenship training, promoting civic responsibility, and transmitting UCSB’s core values of scholarship, leadership and citizenship, every member of the campus community--students, faculty and staff -- are encouraged to register and vote.
UCSB provides a number of options for registering to vote:
A Voter Registration Drive, sponsored by Associated Students and Voter Registration Volunteer Coalition, typically takes place on campus during fall and spring quarters, depending on the election year schedule. The designated UCSB Voter Registration site and Election Information booth on campus are located in front of the University Center during an election cycle. Students may also register year-round at the Student Resource Building and Office of Student Life.
Voter registration forms are available at the following locations:
- Office of Student Life (2260 SRB)
- U.S. Post Office (University Center)
- Associated Students (University Center)
- Student Resource Building (SRB) Information Desk
- Graduate Students Association (2502 University Center)
- Davidson Library
For campus voter registration information or assistance, contact the Office of Student Life at 893-4894.
UCSB students are able to request a voter registration form on the UCSB Gaucho On-Line Data (GOLD) system at the same time they are searching and registrering for academinc classes.
Residents with a California driver license or identification card number can complete a voter registration form online by accessing http://RegisterToVote.ca.gov/student/ or via UCSB's GOLD system when registering for academic classes.
