Resource Monopolies vs. Earth Democracy the last decade of corporate take globalization has in effect been the corporate take over of vital resources-biodiversity, seeds, foods, and water. The World Summit on sustainable Development formalized the corporatization and commodification of the earth’s resources for profits. These resources have been women’s domain spheres where women generated sustenance through their knowledge and work. The conflict over vital resources engendered by globalization is a gender conflict, a class conflict, a north and south conflict. Earth democracy provides an ecological and feminist framework for transcending these conflicts and creating a democracy and freedom for all life.
