Where to Get Help

If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual assault, domestic or dating violence, child sexual abuse or has concerns about prevention or recovery, the organizations  listed below can help. All have services for women and men and are either free of charge, accept insurance payments or have a sliding fee scale. All provide confidential support and information, & some have bilingual assistance.

Sexual Assault, Where to Get Help:

Immediate advocacy, crisis intervention and accompaniment. Counseling, self-defense classes, reporting help, programs, support groups, volunteer opportunities.


UCSB RAPE PREVENTION EDUCATION PROGRAM

Help with personal concerns about all assaults, safety, alcohol connections, sexual pressure. Information, support, advising, advocacy, referrals & liaison to all other departments & agencies; support group; reporting help; programs, library, videos & volunteer opportunities.

For help with obtaining Restraining Orders
Restraining Orders help keep batterers & stalkers away from intended victims, though they are not foolproof. Legal Aid is low cost, helpful.
