Advocacy
We provide free and confidential counseling and advocacy. Advocacy begins with conversations about how you have been affected, either as a survivor, or as a friend, significant other or family member of a survivor.Other services include:
- crisis counseling
- assistance with, and answers to questions about, medical and legal procedures and campus judicial procedures
- help with academic and housing problems
- referrals to long-term counseling, support groups and other campus and community resources
The incidents may be recent or in the past. All these services are free and confidential and available to people of all genders and sexual orientations. Sexual and domestic violence is prohibited by UCSB policies and state laws. RPEP works with both systems to aid survivors of this crime and hold perpetrators accountable.
