Past / Ongoing Projects

In the 2016-17 school year, SFAC funded the Financial Aid Office’s renovation of the student service area, as well as the new QLess system which has drastically reduced long lines by allowing students to save their spot in line through their phones. Furthermore, the more open and welcoming set up of the waiting room provides students a less stressful atmosphere to wait to discuss matters relating to financial aid, an already stressful topic.

In 2016-17 school year, SFAC funded technological improvements to the Multi-Cultural Center (MCC) Theater, which included new base speakers, monitor speakers for stage production, digital stage boxes, and a digital mixer. Given the year-long academic and cultural-enriching events and engagements within the MCC, these technological improvements have supported the maintenance and sustainability of the MCC theater space. These improvements also help in the continued efforts to spread cultural awareness and empower students across campus.

In 2017-18 school year, SFAC funded the automatic door opener for wheelchair accessibility at the front entrance of the Office of the Registrar. This new installment has been met with a warm reception and has allowed for a much more welcoming environment for students who may need this accommodation.
