Anti-Discrimination Law & Policy Compliance

Student Affairs welcomes and values all UC Santa Barbara students. Our goal is to support every student’s success in their academic and co-curricular learning at the University.

All Student Affairs departments, programs, and services are offered without discrimination against or preferential treatment for any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin, or membership in another protected category. This means that:

All services and program benefits are available broadly to all students without limitation based on membership in a protected category. Targeted outreach does not preclude service or program availability to all students.

  • Some services and programs focus on issues related to race, gender, and other issues related to identity.
  • Such offerings are available to any interested student, regardless of their identity.

To share questions or concerns regarding compliance or access, contact the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at vcsaoffice@sa.ucsb.edu

Several policies and laws describe the University’s commitment and obligation to anti-discrimination. Additional information is available from the Office of Title IX Compliance and Discrimination and Harassment Prevention. To report discrimination, file a report with the TIX/DHP Office.
