How to Submit a Reservation Request

Before submitting a space request, please read our Reservation and Exception Policy Guidelines. Requests that do not adhere to these guidelines will be automatically denied.


*UPDATE* Per the SRB Building Policy, weekend events may only take place in the MPR, and may not be recurring reservations.




1. Select which type of organization you are representing.

2. Fill out the first section with the specific organization as well as your full name, phone number, and UCSB email (if you have one). For weekend events, you must provide a second contact.

3. Select the space you would like to reserve. Please check the availability for the space using the "Event Calendars" tab of our website.

4. Fill out your event details. This includes:

  • The official event title and a short description if necessary. If your event will be any type of fundraiser or other special event, please check the applicable box.
  • Date(s) and time of your event. In the "Time" box, indicate the total time you would like to reserve the space for including set-up and clean-up time if necessary. 
  • Event recurrence - one-time or weekly
  • Expected attendance

5. Fill out the Special Requests section.

  • Select yes for use of the kitchen only if you plan to prepare food using the stovetop or oven.
  • Select yes for amplified music only if you plan to use external speakers beyond the provided sound systems.
  • SRB tables and chairs are only available for use in the Multipurpose Room and forum.
  • A full sound system and microphones are only available in the Multipurpose Room; Video projectors are available in the Multipurpose Room and the 1st/2nd Floor Conference Rooms.

6. If you selected the Multipurpose Room for your event, please indicate your preferred furniture configuration.


Completing this form is a request onlyOnce the reservation form is received, it will be sent to the SRB Reservations team for review and approval. 

You will receive a confirmation email when your reservation has been approved. Should your request need additional information or approval, you will be contacted. Once your request has been reviewed and approved, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address provided on Page 1 of the request form.
