Campus Safety

safety1As a parent, your student's safety on campus is undoubtedly your number one concern. Statistics show that in comparison to other large urban college campuses, UCSB is a relatively safe environment. However, as a community of more than 20,000 individuals, it is not problem-free. Crimes do occur on campus and in Isla Vista each year. Each individual in the campus community must be actively responsible for their own safety. Please encourage your student to be aware of this issue and alert to their surroundings.
